is it a good ideal to get my ecu chip change in my civic, how much change would it do, should it be professional done or can i do it

Only if you are, or are seriopus planning on running some serious modifications and looking for some more power, most likely a turbo, but this works for all-motor as well. Theres a few places that do it, your options are to either have your current ECU chipped professionally, like Suja1motoring, i beleive they offer that service, or investing in an already modified ECU's or programs, such as Crome, or Hondata. Also, VAFC units can be used as well, they let you tweak and fine tune things on the spot, but i do not reccomend that you invest in one unless you plan on having a professional use it, because if you are new to cars, or even a well rounded enthusiast, some of the information displayed can look like greek to you, and if you arent careful, you can potentially harm or even destroy your motor. For a basic step, trying browsing the H-tech Ad's for already-chipped (used) ECU's.

Just be careful you can blow up your motor with some of the parts people will sell you (ebay). Have it done right the fist time.

only if you're turbo'd or have serious engine work done.. if you have boltons, forget about it.
