Default This is my 1993 Hatch build....

Figured this way ppl see my pics first other than just msg's lol...

This is when I first pulled my 1.5, 8 valve motor from it.

This is before doing the swap.

This is when I first put the B16 in the car.

I had put the valve cover and the intake on it.

Just took another pic of it to show what I have left.

I have to fill in the holes on the firewall, but i'll do that after I get it running.. I'll post more as soon as I get more parts on

Let me know what you all think of it.

Well I did the b16 because I was able to make payments on my motor, I didn't have cash up front for the Gsr that I was going to buy.

Hate to tell everybody, but I see b16's smoking b18's and such just the same as Gsr's and stuff.. The b16 is a really good motor, it revs high and gets the job done.

I don't blame you on that, I just went from a jdm single slammer in my coupe to a b16 in my hatch.. I was going to buy a Gsr but didn't have the money. I was able to make payments on this motor, I just don't see why everybody thinks that a b16 is a bad motor. I think they hold there own when done correctly.

its a 99 model B16a with a JDM Gsr tranny.

Yeah, I mean I know that. It just seems like everyone thinks b16's are bad or something, I dunno.. maybe just misread what ppl were saying.. I bought this motor when I lost my job though, so I was fortunate to be able to do this swap.

like we dont already know that...stock b16 in a hatch will beat a stock gsr all day long its called power to weight...a b16 even a jdm b16 is gutless till VTEC....you wont feel any difference driving a b16 from a d16 until VTEC crosses over which makes you drive like an ***

I was talking about stock c1's in hatches.. and that isn't true, I feel a difference in a b16 and a d16 before vtec.

I mean don't get me wrong here, I think that a c1 is a good motor too, but I didn't have the money to buy the c1 I was going to get. So I got the b16, my buddy had a b16 in his hatch and it ran very strongly... I am just hoping mine does the same.

I think people should appreciate what they got a lot more than they do.To the OP congrats i've had a d16 in my hatch for awhile and would love to have a b18/b16.I'm on a budget as well and know what it's like to get "helped out"Thing about not having the money/too many bills is you appreciate things a lot more.Enjoy your b series.

Yeah I totally agree with you on that man.. I am stoked to be able to go to the b16, but it's mainly for looks now, I probably won't race too much anymore, because it's gotten my license suspended 3 times already. Racing is going to be one of those things I only do every now and again.

It's garbage, unless you are turboed. You do not want an engine that has to rev to 10,000 rpm just to make 160 BHP. You want an engine that only has to rev to 7600 to make 200 BHP.

Dude wtf with the enngine bay, TAKE OUT the motor and then spray it. Do it right the first time man, I hate looking at engine bays that are sprayed on the top and not bottom. It's so ugly looking.
