Default My 1 Picture Post: A Timeline of my 92 VX Hybrid Hatch (56k, 53 pics, so I doubt it)

Well, this will be the first time showing you guys in EG/Del Sol forum my ride so let me know what you guys all think. This is where I hang out the most so I want everyone's comments.

And I'm just gonna put up the pics and if you have any questions about anything I'll be happy to answer them.

These pics are from when I first bought the car up till now. I bought the car from Eli Vang, thanks Eli. And the first half of the pics are on 800ISO film so they look really grainy, the second half looks a little better but they are on 400ISO so they still aren't the greatest. Oh, and they are only 72dpi so that they are easier to load since there are so many.

And I have to thank my friend Tim for helping me with most of the work on the car including the motor swap. That's him in the yellow hat, I'm the tall skinny kid in the white shirt. Thanks Timmay!!

- outdoor, day time pics = 100iso film
- nt-450's = crap. they're a pretty hard compoud, so atleast they'll last.
- whats with the EK air box?
- didnt bother to remove the lights and bumpers for the respray? that means they didnt add flex agent for ur bumpers...
- nice rear seat swap! are those integ backs with the stock bottom cushion re-wrapped?

anyways, clean lookin hatch tho!

Yeah, I shouldn't have used that 800ISO film during the day, or the 400 for that matter, but it was all that I had. And some of these were taken over a year ago.

nt-450's=crap that's an understatement they are just for daily driving.

The EK airbox is because I didn't have anything else to use at the time. It's way huge

Yeah, the paintjob wasn't the greatest, but I got a really good deal, and since they fixed all the dents and sanded the whole car down I had to take the deal. Plus they will fix anything that goes wrong for free. And in person, it actually looks really good.

the rear seat is out of a 97 special edition integra. The backs are from a coupe and the bottom is from a sedan. The dash and center console and armrest are also out of an integra.

thanks

It used to be turboed because I see a FMI in one of the first pictures, it looks like you spray painted it black. But the car does look real good.

yes, you are correct. It was turboed when I bought it from Eli. This was the setup:
93 D16z6 SOHC Vtec
GReddy TD04 Turbo kit
Larger GReddy FMIC
Upgraded charge pipe
XS BOV
Vortech FMU
Test Pipe
5Zigen Fireball cat-back exhaust
K&N filter
Ran on 10psi of boost

It was damn quick on 10psi That turbo setup was fun, and the Bseries might see a turbo sometime in the future.

THanks for the comments
And I decided to add the mod list to the first post for everyone.

Thanks

hmm.. i dunno really what to say.... it was the worse decision i have ever made in my life to get rid of that car.. im still sad that its gone.. i miss the car alot.. i did the dash swap on the car as well as alot of other things.. here are pics when i had it.... hehe.. i personally think that the car would've been better with the single cam turbo... hehe.. oh well.. not my car anymore...

here are some pics of it when i had it.. this car was my first eg.. i paid 1600 for it with 90k on it.. got the z6 swap for free.. the turbo kit only cost me 600 with the fmic.. dash cost me 110 with everything.. rear disc brakes were 150... umm.. sweat, blood and love.. priceless haha.. it was also sporting a spoon wing... lots of different spoon parts i took off.. umm.. i was only in a few grand into this car and made it a 13 second single cam...

sad to see it in a different owners hands.. good job with it...

Thanks Eli. I knew you would be sad to see the car again since you got rid of it. You seemed kinda sad when you were giving me the keys too. But I was really excited, especially after you pulled on Tim's H22 hatch just before we traded cars

I have to give you props for a doing the initial swapping over of the dash because if you hadn't done it, then I wouldn't have it. I would have never taken on that kind of a project.

But since it was already mounted in there, I was more than happy to finish it up with the stuff that you didn't do, by changing out the civic heater core and fan for the integra one, then changing out the civic dash harness for the integra one so that I could get everything to work, including the clock, hazards, rear defrost, cruise control, etc., and then replacing the climate control with a new one that didn't have broken *****, replacing the tan (painted black) automatic center console and armrest that was missing the ashtray with a newer black 5-speed center console and armrest in good condition with everything still there and a leather armrest pad, and covering up the hole in the passenger side with the factory airbag block off tray. Then I added the acura cd player and steering wheel for fun.

And you added the rear disc swap which I am very happy to have.

The car was quicker with the old turbo setup than it is now, but hopefully that won't be for very long

Those pics are the reason why I bought the car, it looked really good. That was probably a year and a half ago huh.
So what do you think about the new look?

Oh and for the other guys who asked, I have owned the car for about 1 year, so the first pic is from one year ago when I bought it, and the last pics are how the car looks now.

Thanks for all the comments guys

Thank you.

As for the necklace, I don't really remember what it meant, but I think it was "love." So I have it in my car to signify my love for cars.
I got it one time when I was down in Florida on Marco Island on vacation and I liked the design of it. That was a fun vacation

Thanks. I had the local paint supply store mix up some high heat paint in the same exact color as my car: Tahitian Green Pearl (BG-28P).

It's not as good as powdercoating, but it is holding up pretty good.
