Mugen Twin Loop for 96-00 Civic Coupe: Was $480, now $680???
I had planned to buy a Mugen Twin Loop axle-back for a while and have always known that they cost $480. I am now ready to buy, so I check King Motorsports, Inline Four, and JDM Honda Parts and they are all $680 now??? I called JDM Honda Parts and they said that Mugen no longer makes the USDM version for $480, so all they have now is the JDM version for $680.
Does anybody know if there is a place where I can still get a new USDM version for $480?
So, the only difference between the USDM version and the JDM version is that the tip on the JDM version says "Mugen" on it, right?
I searched, but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

ya, that does suck............ your best bet is to probably buy it used. i doubt too many shops would have one lying around.

I'm sorry, it's your car and your money...
...but what in the mother **** are you spending $680 on an axle-back exhaust??????
My entire greddy turbo kit cost me $900 used, legit!
Please spend your money wisely, that's a bling item not worth the price tag. But hey like I said, your money, your car.

I just recieved a reply from King Motorsports asking about the price change. Here is their response:
"Hello,
Thank you for your email. Mugen used to produce a USDM version of the twin-loop silencer for the Civic @ $499.00. This part is no longer produced. Mugen now only produces the JDM version which fits the USDM cars but is a little fancier than the old system. We have this part in stock and ready to ship.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,"

thats pretty expensive for an exhaust. i'd suggest picking a different exhaust, but if you're that devoted to get a mugen twinloop, go for it.

Guess that's what you have to pay to be JDM yo! j/k
That really sucks, I wonder if they are just doing that because people are getting JDM stupid.

hytech also has a twinloop design, although I'm not sure if they only make an axleback.

Fancy? It better have a few hundred dollar bills in it that I can fancy out of the muffler after I pay $680+shipping for a muffler and under a foot of axle-back piping.
Wow.
Wow.

I can read thank you, but $480 is insane for an axle-back, **** even a cat-back these days.

Unceasing Measure
An electric cutout after the header costs $150 + install ($40) and you can keep stock sleeper exhaust when not racing. ****, open it up at the track or a stoplight and I guarantee you'll make more power than a $480 axle-back .
