mugen itr intake in ek chassis?

looking to see if any one knows if the mugen intake for the integra type r will work in and ek chassis? the intake seems similiar enough, let me know what you think.

yea, i know it sounds a little stupid, considering mugen already has a civic intake system. but im currently building a poor mans R and figured i might get better response and more air flow with the ITR mugen intake.
