Mugen ITR intake on a 96-00 civic w/ B18c?
Does anyone know for sure, as in done it yourself or saw it with your own eyes, if a mugen intake will fit without modification in an EK(96-00 civic) with a GSR or ITR B18c? I couldn't get an answer from search. Thanks and to whoever knows.

I want to say no, just from experience trying to fit it into the dc2 chassis. Its very very very snug there, if anything is off it wouldnt fit right.

w/ the mugen intake for the Ek... it should fit a B18c(R) but not the gsr because of the intake manifold and where it sits....
Just a guess

I think the chassis hole (for the cold air snorkel) is located differently on an EK and ITR?
The EK has a vertical hole...I think the DC2 has a horizontal hole.
Mugen does make an application for a 92-00 Civic. The Mugen design utilizes the stock rubber intake arm so the intake manifold location should not be a worry. You can always use a different intake arm.
EDIT: Okay I think I have the answer... AEM Civic applications place the intake pipe through the hole near the fender. On Integra applications, the intake pipe goes down near the tranny, under the frame towards the bumper. The Mugen intake does what the AEM Integra intake does...SO...
I think it'll fit. I looked at my car today and there is plenty of room for the intake. If an AEM for a DC2 fits an EK, then the Mugen should fit as well.

But doesn't the Mugen airbox pull in air closer to opening in front of the tranny, as the AEM pulls it through the hole near the fender?

what intake arm are you using with the mugen airbox? Stock type r or EK Si? are they (Stock type r & EK Si) the same?
