I did run my silencer but sometimes I miss the deep sound of my cat back. So now I ride without it and I hate it. I acutally just hate my muffler. Need some quiter than the straight through design. N1

I use the silencer, but it's still LOUD, but that's because it's a header back to a resonator then to a SKunk2 universal muffler (which has a silencer tip)

When I bought my '95 del Sol VTEC it already had a Skunk2 Catback on it. I assume the silencer would go in the muffler tip but there isn't one there and I sure would like one. Anybody know where I could get a replacement?

A silencer really doesn't rob any horsepower, nothing noticeable anyways. It's all about how much noise you can tolerate.

go to skunk2's website, and ask them the part # (their customer service/tech support email will get back to you fast) and then anyone who sell skunk2 should be able to order you one, but it may only be the universal one that comes with a silencer? dunno..

I tried living just header and muffler, the volume wasn't as bad as the lawnmower rasp was, so I put the resonator on later to quiet it down, worked decent.. it was a generic 18" 2.5 in/ 2.5 out straight through desing, and can't say I lost any power and can't notice the difference of power lost by using the silencer

silencers can be very restrictive for turbo setups

On a road trip I will use one, but not for my everyday driving. I love the sound of my skunk2, just cant stand the headache it gives on road trips.

My silencer barely helps so I don't use it. And it is a bitch to get it out once it is in.
