you can always upsize on your piping. also what type of exhaust (or muffler) do you have. there are a few exhaust systems that are quite quiet. and not to offend you, but if you are driving a honda whether it just has rims or fixed up, you are a target for pigs.

I have driven my current Honda for almost five years and I haven't gotten pulled over for over three years.
I changed my driving habits just a little bit, and I don't get so much negative attention from the police.
Then again, I'm not into ricey aftermarket exhaust. I haven't found one I'm happy with at all speeds. They're usually too loud or raspy at some point during driving.
I'm not aware of any stock Honda exhaust tip that's that size. I might check the truck and SUV line if anything. It'd be nice to know some of the sizes though. Maybe I can stop by Honda and take some measurements soon.

Not sure, not sure ive heard of anyone doing that.
What i have seen is using the new 06+ SI muffler, its honda factory, and keeps it relatively quiet

The muffler itself isnt really that loud, the cop just didnt like the fact that it wasnt stock. I was coming home from work and was absolutely doing nothing wrong, but I do understand that your not supposed to change your exhaust so im not lookin for pitty here lol

Mine isn't stock either. It's a '00 Si muffler painted matte black. Then again, it's on a '98 EX (which has a similar muffler stock) and it's low key in appearance and sounds stock.
My car definitely isn't stock either, but the parts I have on it are largely OE parts still. Because of that, it still appears stock to most people, including cops.
Making it look more stock is the first step though I guess.

Apexi has a quiet stock looking muffler that offers performance gains. I like my area the cops pick on domestics more than imports.

Yes, and the RSX Type-S is also 2.25". I had a 02-04 Type-S muffler on my 4th gen Prelude, loved it, straight-through perforated core design. The 05-06 RSX Type-S is a different style, bigger tip, but I'm sure has the same inlet diameter.
