Which motor would you go for?
Hi all...
Just came back from a Jap Auto Wrecker...
They had a 96 JDM ITR front cut (front half of the car)... All the panels, bumper and lights are stuffed, front end collision?!? Anyways... only thing good on the car is the engine itself with ecu, radiator, front suspension, brakes, dashboard and thats about it unless there are other useful things. The asking price is AUS$6995 which probably works out to be half of that due to our weak *** dollar! is that cheap?
I really don't know what motor to go for, i know the ITR is a better motor but it's going to cost soo much! And I don't know if people know how to fit them in into my car because the mounts arn't the same. What is needed or need to be modified in order for a B-series block to fit into a EG civic that didn't come with a B block? and how much?
I was thinking of a B16A gen 2 with ecu for AUS$1100... which works out to be US$550?

Re: Which motor would you go for? (Mugen_R)
A type R motor will fit in an EG hatch with almost no problems. Stock honda mounts will work fine...and if the motor is still in the engine bay, then the mounts you need are already there...
