Re: motor swap issue
Honestly, it can be a bunch of things. it could range from the spark plug wire itself for that cylinder, the timing not being at TDC, primary o2 sensor, or the TPS sensor.

Re: motor swap issue
I understand that it is dumping fuel into the cylinder but only in the #1. If so one of 2 problems exists. No spark at that cylinder or the injector is malfunctioning. Firrst determine if you have spark at that cylinder by using a spark tester designed to check for fire or simply use another spark plug in the wire and set it against a ground, turn the ignition over and see if there is spark. If you have spark then go to the injector. You said that you checked the injector and saw it pulsing. I think that maybe you were checking for injector pulse with a noid light? If so then the injector is being driven but may still be stuck open too much which is dumping fuel. If you did in fact remove the injector rail and observed the injector itself working then why not just do it again and this time swap cylinders to say # 3 and see if the problem moves with the injector. I think you have a injector problem. Remember to change the plugs affected they mayl foul and not fire when soaked with fuel!

Re: motor swap issue
Are you sure that it is just cyl. # 1. Pull all plugs and see if they are saturated with fuel. If you have fuel pouring out of your header and you find that all 4 cyl are saturated with fuel then most likely you have a bad fuel pressure regulator and you need to replace it. Check and make sure that you have a vaccum to the regulator. If you have vaccum and all 4 cyl are saturated with fuel then Sometimes you can lightly tap it with a hammer and it will temporarily fix the problem.

Re: motor swap issue
i i pulled the fuel rail off and saw the injector pulsing and its only cyl. #1 thats saturated with fuel allthe others are pretty much dry. the only thinh i noticed is that i dont have any o2 sencors hooked up but i figured that would effect the hole ca and not just that one cyl. im ganna pick up a new set of plugs tomorrro and try that out but if u can think of anthin else that might be the prob PLEASE let me no

Re: motor swap issue
Here's another way to check your fuel injector. Take a long screwdriver and stick it at the end of the base of the fuel injector. Then put your ear on the screwdriver handle. If you hear clicks, your injector is working fine. Of course, do this while the engine is idling.
