Default Motor Swap for 98 EK ?

I friend of mine just bought an EK with no motor or trans. He has been looking for motors for it. What do you guys think of a B20 block with type r head and trans ? Any opinions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks

what isnt played out??.. if money was no object then yes the K20 would be where its at ..

i hear many mixed things about the crvtec(b20+vtec head) .. and i have no experience with them so i couldnt answer your question w/o being biased ..

all im saying is, K series engines are very mod friendly, torque heavy, and there is a lot of new technonology coming out to make them great.

expensive, not necessarily. you can find a K24A1 for 1,000 bucks. Displacement, torque =

i dont agree. I have an ep3.... my K20A3 sucks. The K20A2 is awesome, but way overpriced. you can throw a K24 in there with a basic greddy kit/k-pro and have a close to 300hp engine with way more torque than an A2.

The price, with K-pro and install should be right around the cost of an A2.
