Motor Mounts for GSR Swap
I'm swapping a B18C1 into my 93 Civic hatch... I've heard rumors that the stock GSR mounts will work for the swap.. is this true?

FUDGE NO DON'T LISTEN TO THAT IDIOT.
integra b series mounts, tranny, driver, and back bracket works. Use the b series shift linkage. Perfect fit.

for swapping a gsr in your eg you can use the stock gsr mounts in your civic aslong there from a 5spd and youll need the 5spd gsr rear bracket.
for the shift linkage you can use the 94 and up integra shift linkage for any b series hydro tranny

Alright thank you guys for the great info. And the tranny i have is the DA GSR cable... is that going to make a difference in the linkage i need?

You probably should have mentioned that in your OP. Linkage, no probably not, but mounts yes. Because its a cable tranny you have to buy aftermarket mounts (and a hydro to cable conversion) At which point you have to ask yourself, why bother? Pick up a hydro GS-R, ITR or B16 tranny, drop the whole thing in with stock mounts.

the linkage between cable tranny and hydro tranny are the same
the only different is the clutch actuation, in which he'll need to find a way to pull the cable rather than using a hydraulic setup
i would sell the cable transmission as people with ef civics and da integras are constantly looking for them, and pick up an integra or civic b-series hydraulic transmission
and as far as using parts for your swap
if you have a motor from an 94-01 integra, you can re-use all of the factory integra mounts, including the shift linkage

Well i got the tranny for 100 bucks and i've figured out how to make it work with the hydro set up... i just need linkage

For the engine itself yes. For the cable tranny the upper mount and lower bracket are both different (theres nothing stock that works either IIRC) rear T bracket should work.

Damn you're dumb man... Why do you post a comment if you're not even completely right?
OP when I first did a swap on my previous EG, I used the stock d-series motor mounts for my b-series. Everything is pretty much plug and play and the only time you should really have to replace the mounts are when the rubber bushings go bad.

yes i am. avid driver side engine mountand the rest is stock. it only wheel hop if i bang out in high rpm

well I want to add some input of my own to this thread, buddy DO NOT waste your time with the cable tranny, the older ones had some stupid size for the input shaft and utilizing the cable tranny in an eg requires a whole bunch of parts,ordering and waiting and labour why bother go and get your self a proper gsr HYDRO tranny.
as for the mounts yes you can use both the stock eg and the dc2 mounts no problem
however I did notice a bit of wheel hop even though my mounts were brand new honda replacements, but I did also have a torqiuer b20z rather than a gsr. anyway once I switched to performance mounts I noticed I had some vibration and was told I needed all 5 instead of two I originally bought, after I got all 5 of them replaced with PU mounts the results were amazing, alot less vibration than just using the two(just a little more than stock) wayyyy better handling and sharper cornering(dont know how but trust me massive difference) a muchhhh better take off with less wheel hop!
I was told that avid was better and thats what I used since they were cheaper but thats all upto you!
