Default motor dies once it gets warm..... help!

stock d15b swapped into a 92si hatch...

once i start the car, the idle will be at around 2000rpm.... the temp gauge reads cold still. in about three minutes, the temp gauge is already rising, and once its about 1/3 or 2/5 up there, the motor will just buck and die. its still kinda running, just at a lowww rpm. i can hit the gas and revive it, but something is cutting out once the car gets warm.

fan doesn't turn on, but i think that once its about to (because the temperature is high enough), that condition happens.

no CEL's, fluidyne radiator, cusco 1.3 cap, samco hoses, everything is stock. what could be the problem? please help!

EDIT: VIDEO IS UP.... wait till about 40sec in -- then you see the idle drop, and motor barely alive

yeah.....thats weird how your engine idles at 2k. i just did a swap on my car with a d15b. mine doesnt go that high........sounds like you have problem with your idle control valve! and you might need to adjus t the idle speed screw!

work on your idle man... when it's warm it shouldnt be idling at 2... check your sensors... FITV, IAT, ICV... get it to idle right, that will prolly fix your engine dying...

did you bleed the coolent to get all the air out that will cause idle problems and cause the car to run funny and drive funny

thanks for the help folks....

just figured that the idle is a little high since its still in the process of getting warm. i also did bleed the coolant, with the valve spitting out water and no air.

the motor dieing is funny though, its never happened to anybody? its kinda off, but still kinda on?

bump for more ideas....

the motor dies to about 200rpm once it gets warm.

tried bringing up the idle when its in that state, but the motor really just starts to shake badly

thanks folks

timing (at the belt) is perfect, and i've already tried two known working dizzy's. also took it for a drive -- only dies in neutral! lol...

first gear, second gear, both at low RPM's, the motor runs fine.

seems like a minor tune-up type of thing, right?

and a teaser shot, cause everybody likes pix haha

Did u change the IACV?

That's what it looks like.

EDIT:
After that, check the vacuum system and make sure there's no leaks.

switched between two IACV's, but wont rule out the possibility that them both being bad.

also, swtiched between:
-two dizzys
-two sets of plugs
-two sets of plug wires

i may switch between alternators.

spoke to the old owner and the cat is original from 1992. think that would cause it to die as immediate as it does?

take the fast idle thermo .... expletive that thing right underneath the throttle body with the coolant lines going to it. take that that off open it up and make sure that nut ring around the spring valve is good and tight, that threw my car off one time.
