Which motor?
Well the day has come i blew my d16y8 motor in my civic. Time for another motor. I have around 4500-5000 to spend on the complete swap. I was thinking about doing b16 but i really wish i could do a gsr swap. I was wondering how much it would be to buy the gsr motor and put it in the car and have it all complete. Also which motor would you choose.

You can do this B18c (JDM GS-R) swap for under $3,500. This is a good swap that can throw down a good amount of power.

What are ur plans for later on? Like Turbo, All motor or just enough to have a little fun... I myself prefer the LS turbo or LSVtec and If I had the money A K20.. But this is just my opinion..

A b18c is a good place to start. IMO the b16a just doesn't stand a chance at all against the b18c. A b18c has a good amount of torque and a decent amount of HP to start you off with.

Re: Which motor? (96dxpower)
well i got some prices today i went to tempest and they want 4500 for ls swap, 5300 for b16 swap. I also went to some spanish guys they said a gsr swap for 3,000. I called noyan in manassas virginia and they said call on monday they get a new shipment on honda motors. I might just buy the gsr motor from them and have tempest put it in for me. My future plans are really nothing just get a b16 or b18 motor and i already had nitrous on my d16y8 (75 shot) so i think a gsr with a 75 shot with be quite nice. Also has anyone every bought any motors from noyan? http://www.noyanusa.com

Re: (iLOVEmyEMone)
personal preference really.
b16 = less torque and about 10 less hp than b18
b18 = more torque + a little better power than the b16
k20 = good torque + power stock + responds to bolt ons REALLY well
and like one other kid said.
d16 built + boosted, single cams love boost and fairly inexpensive
IMO its a personal opinion on how much you want to spend for what about of performance, hope this helped. if not, sorry to waste space. goodluck on your new motor journey.
edit: stay the hell away from H series.

5300 is wayyyyy to much for a b16. with 5 grand, i think a b18c is your best choice. Its the most well rounded motor imo. But be a scavenger and find a cheap b18c5. I think you could do it
