Motegi rims. quality?

Default Motegi rims. quality?

Does anybody here have or had experience with Motegi wheels? Are they of good quality? To be specific the Motegi FF5. To look at them go to http://hubcap-tire-wheel.com/Motegi_racing4.asp they are the 17" FF5 model.

not only do they copy other companies wheels, but they are consistently heavier by a pound or more than the wheels they are copying

to add to that...the MR7's in 17 are like 23 lbs a piece...where as the konig equivalent (tantrum) is 5 lbs lighter to motegi

Generally, with wheels, you get what you pay for. That's why in order to buy Volks, you'll need to sell your second child, your left arm, and take out a second mortgage, but it's all worth it.

The last time I checked Motegi makes RO_JA, and RO_JA's are really nice rims IMO. (EX: the Formula 5's are forged and the 17's weigh around 14.5lbs). The quality of the Motegi's however, are alot less than that of the RO_JA's, and are heavier than other rim makers' same designs. By the picture the gunmetal FF5 rims look pretty clean. I say if you like them get them!

just got a set of gunmetal FF6 - sick rims, 16" 16 pounds, so far so good.
I got them because I didn't like how rotas look but couldn't afford Volks

That's why in order to buy Volks, you'll need to sell your second child, your left arm, and take out a second mortgage, but it's all worth it.
