Re: moonroof vs soonroof (samdawgsol)
Moonroof is also known as a pop up rook. You can see thru it and pop it open but it will not slide open like a sunroof does.
I believe that's what the differences are. People use Moonroof and sunroof interchangeably that's what is confusing.

Re: moonroof vs soonroof (Apex i ITR)
Think about ****!....a moonroof can be made of glass, plastic, fiberglass, even human skin for that matter. As can a sun roof. There is a major difference though. A moonroof pops up and is usually translucent, it does not, i repeat NOT slide back...that is a sun roof's job. on civic EX's and Si's there is a sun roof...and it is electric...

Re: moonroof vs soonroof (Captain_Kicker)
Sunroof is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. Moonroof is a term created by Ford in the 70's, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.
