Yup, you'll get about 10-20whp with the mods you have there.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by devgon &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">These are the mods i m putting on my EG next week with the B18b swap

but how good are these parts and how good the will do my EG ??

AEM Short Ram Intake - Won't increase hp, just throttle response
REV Group N Power Filter Honda Won't do jack ****, OEM is fine
DC SPORTS 4-1 CERAMIC HEADER CIVIC - Maybe you'll see 3-6hp out of it if you're tuning it on a dyno, maybe not
JDM SHORT SHIFTER Will do absolutely nothing
Honda OBD1 programmed P28 ECU Will do absolutely nothing unless the car is dyno tuned after putting in the IM, header, cam gears, and exhaust
SPARK WIRES NGK IRIDIUM PLUGS Won't do anything
GODSPEED ALUMINUM RADIATOR Won't do anything
TANABE REAR STRUT BAR Structural integrity,
Spoon Sports Cam Gears Maybe good for tuning purposes, won't net you any extra hp
GREDDY FRONT STRUT BAR good for structural integrity
SKUNK2 INTAKE MANIFOLD Will do some good, like 5hp, but not much, also, there was a thing not too long ago with skunk2 manifolds actually overrestricting air...not sure if they fixed it or not, either way, 5hp, 10 tops
Buddy Club Racing Racing Battery Racing battery? What the ****? Waste of money
Spoon Muffler If you were boosting it would actually help, maybe it'll give you 5hp on ur stock motor, it'll throw a nice tone, but won't actually help much

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah, you have a bunch of useless crap picked out .

dude....you should save the money your about to put in that motor and put it towards a b16 or b18c swap. Would be way more worth the time and money and either one would out perform what you have going on that b18b. If your going to put intake on it get a cold air system. Air and fuel is where you should focus your money...not on radiators and stuff like that. That is if you wanna go fast. just rememeber b16 or b18c....worth the money.

nothing against getting a radiator just maybe not worth it now and money better spent else where. remember heat is horsepower's enemy anything you can do to keep it cooler is going to help maybe it won't add "maD JDM power y0!" but maybe it'll save a headgasket or worse, especially if he goes turbo.

as for getting a b16 or b18c i really don't see why the need to just toss away a perfectly good b18b, get a vtec head and put it on the LS you didnt forget about the ol ls/vtec did ya?

I just got into the scene a couple years ago, but my buddy's been in it for 10+ years, and his advice rang true; "Get suspension, and strengthen the chasis, then learn to drive what you got." We all know how to drive, but it's about enjoying the ride. IMO cornering and powering out of turns, was a lot more fun than launching from a red light. Once I was driving my D15 for a year or so, I upgraded to the B18C. I'm glad I did it that way.

x2

I enjoy my little D15B while I learn more and more every day how to drive her. Had her for about 4 years now, and I'm looking at Greddy kits right now.

Any good handling car is fun regardless of how slow it is, just find a twisty road and practice smooth shifting and heeltoe technique.

Dc header is not junk its very good and one of the best that I have seen. b18b is a good strong engine and. a tune is a good idea with the dhort ram and header back exhuast it will put another 5-10 hp out of the car. you will be looking at 20hp if not more. DO the spark plugs and wires you will have a better throttle and the fuel will burn better and give you 1-2hp. you will get better gas milage with all of the mods... over all i think you have a good start. and ek forever guy you dont need to tune with those mods but the car will run much much better and get even better gas milage. you read alot! its time for you to start to do somethings you read about. Not to be a dick

... aftermarket spark plugs show no gains on a stock motor on a dyno. For a b-series a header and intake isn't a bad idea.

And you think I've never worked on a car? pm me sometime.
