i still had a 1.5 quarts of mtf from a few yrs ago, so I just put it in my car. I was at acura and knew I needed some mtf so I picked some up...i just went to pour some in(thinking its the same ****) but its a diff colour than the few year older stuff...I think i read that honda changed their fluid in the last year or so...is this true...and if so can I mix this new stuff with the old stuff?

the older stuff is gold while this new bottle from acura is dark greyish.

should be ok. but i would just drain the old stuff out to get all the shavings out
and put in the new stuff

thats what I did. I drained the old stuff. Then put in the new "old" formula...and topped it off with the bottle from acura that i just bought. drove around a bit and it was ok for that...im sure its fine. just wanted to make sure they hadnt drastically changed it...though ive read of people mixing synchromesh and honda mtf so I figured it should be fine mixing the two honda formulas.
