a pop pop?, can you feel a drain in power, like it is running on less than 4 cylinders?

I would go with replacing other ignition components, plugs, wires, maybe even the ignitor if that has gone bad

I'll bet all the money I own that your plug wires are either 90 degrees off or in the wrong order .

i don't know what he means by that either, but i would think if they are in the wrong order it wouldn't run fine in the lower rpms either. check your wires and plugs though
