that's what i'm questioning too...
to the original poster, how about elaborating on it more rather than just.. "his car turned off". that way, you might get a good answer?

he was powershifting? first off he is a dumbass you probably over loaded the revlimter and it over revved so you might have floated a valve and bent them

He must've hit second. Even with all your might you wouldn't be able to get it into reverse going that fast.

Re: (ViXoN Hatch94)
What exactly did you do and whats done to the car?
Because you could have misshifted and rev to 8k and hit the rev limiter and nothing happened (just restart the ecu)
Or you could have a chiped ecu and rev the **** to 10k and blow the motor.
Or you could have misshifted into 2nd and said "**** you" to the rev limitor and just killed the motor.
So which one is it?

Are you sure, or are you guessing? May have just bent some valves.

Yeah no kidding. I have enough trouble getting into reverse while sitting still.

Re: (Luserkid)
the rev limit on da ecu is 10k so im pretty sure i hit that when i misshifted but either way my buddys gonna look at the motor after its off da car and see what we can do with it, but im interested in a GSR motor... now help me on this guys, everything is obd1 ( wiring, ecu, dist) if i get a gsr motor 96 and up will the obd1 dist fit the motor? or i have to change everything to obd2. but i defenately wanna go 1.8 and dont have the time to build LSv cuz my cars in the shop and wouldnt mind throwing in a LS but everythings Vtec. Thanx guys!

No shiz! Trying going 2, 4, R...if it still doesn't go in smoothly pump the clutch a couple times and you can either try going straight in to R or do 2, 4, R again. IT WORKS!
