in minor fender wreck, what all should I have done to car?
OK, (2000 Civic EX White coupe) girl hit my front left bumper not very hard, blamed it on her blind spot, anyways, fender seems to have absorbed all the damage from the impact, but I did a pretty hard CURB CHECK trying to avoid her.
cars drives fine, let go of the wheel and it still goes straight at all speeds.
no weird noises or anything, yet
I got almost $2K check to fix the wreck, a lot of the money is for paint matching the fender. the insurance guy said they do a 2-stage repaint, all the parts around the fender (door, hood, etc.) plus the fender to make it all look right. I just thought they would paint the fender to match rest of the 4 years of fade. and some of the money is for wheel, headlight alignment and such
so, I am having fender replaced for sure.
wondering about how much other stuff I should worry about, like having the wheel alignment all rechecked and redone, I don't want something 2 months down the road to go wrong.
1.) should I have alignment done?
2.) just have fender painted to match 4 year fade or have them paint all the parts around it also ?
so of course I would like to keep any $ out of this check I could BUT I don't wanna screw up the looks or alignment of the car by not having something done.
thanks

FOR SURE get an alignment, its only what 50-60 bucks, or at LEAST get it checked out, to make sure none of your suspension components are bent.
as for the paint, its entirely up to you, but IMO, i would just have the fender color matched so it'll blend in. why paint parts that weren't involved in the collision? & save the rest of the money.
