what d15 though. a JDM D15b? or the regular USDM D15b7/b8 block? If its b7/b8 its going to be OBD1 so you are going to need to convert the dizzy from the Y8 to OBD-1. THere are threads on the forum which explain how to do this. You need to get a P28. Although i suggest also getting it chipped and tuned. You are going to need a Y8/Z6 fuel rail and injectors because i believe the ones on the B7/B8 are smaller than the ones on the VTEC motors.

check out the faq section. the whole swap in detailed in there pretty well. It also says the z6 timing belt is the proper belt to use not the y8.

I believe the Z6 belt is the same as the Y8. I have a Y8/Z6 setup in my car and I use a Y8 Timing belt.

well if its a d15b7/8 and its in a 92-95 civic dx/cx then its obd1 and you don't have to do anything for the dizzy... you can just use the stock dizzy that is on the d15...it will bolt right onto the y8 head... (this is if your car is a EG 92-95 civic)

you have to use a z6/y8 timing belt and id recommend using the z6/y8 head gasket cuz its thiner so you will have more compression. you can also use the d15 intake mani but the z6 is a little bit better and the y8 is even better... you also need the y8 head studs. also there's a oil jet thats on the blocks deck on the firewall side in the middle. you have to take that out cuz the head has one in it and if you don't take it out it wont pop vtec. you can take this out with anything from a pick to a screw. your timing is gonna be off about a half a tooth so you can get an adjustable cam gear but you really don't need it cuz by retarding your cam timing a little it gives you a little more top end...

as for the ecu, get a p28 z6 ecu. it will run pretty good stock but you can get a little more power out of it if you have it chipped and tuned... hope that helps

ya im positive that the dizzy off your car will work on the y8 head, ive done it a ton of times... idk if its in your budget but while the head is off id do some work to it. might as well if its off... id port it and mill it. also while its apart id put new valve seals in it and lap the valves in. its cheap power...

and quick question..i have a dx so im pumpin 90 hp to the flywheel so i heard this swap will add 20-30 hp..plus im doin header and intake so i was wonderin if you think i could keep up with a b20 integra (all stock) i mean b20's have 130 to the flywheel so i wouldnt see why i couldnt keep up after the swap...you think i could?? anybody? idk jw
