Default Mini me -- can't find O2 Sensor

I believe i have a Mini Me as i was told by the seller who now refuse to reply me .

is a D15b Block with D16y8 .

- My question is i can;t find the O2 Sensor .

and the ECU seem to be a P6X-T51

I am running Manual .

when i run it the Vtec Open on Gear 1 jumping to 7000-8000 Rpm . roughly
But when i shift gear 2 i did not feel the Jump or i am still new at this if it correct . i tested on Gear 3 and when i reach 5500 rpm it did not jump just move up smoothly .

.
My question is . what are my option if my car do not have O2 Sensor . The header is After market . did not find any hole for O2 Sensor also .

.
Currently my MGP suck !! 19-20 MPG

thanks in Advance what are my option ?

New to all this and need all the help i can get .

D15B block with a Y8 head is a mini me.

How do you know it's a Y8 head and not the D15B vtec head?

I've not heard of the P6X ECU, but you can always pull out your ECU and open the cover plate and see if it is chipped. To run the Mini-me, it should be so you have the proper base maps.

Also does your CEL light work? Does it turn on for two seconds then go off when you turn the key to the on (II) position?

If the CEL works and isn't staying on then the O2 sensor is there somewhere. The plug for the O2 sensor is under the distributor. They may have run the wire from the plug to the back of the engine to go down to a bung by the catalytic converter.

It looks like you have a little bit of homework to do to get some information and know where your car is at with it's swap.

First i want to Thanks you Tomcat39 . for being first to help out .

All the light work normal and i did not see any light went up .
the only light that come sometime is the handbrake light when i know i having a Leak on the brake proportion value .

I am thinking is some kinda chipped ECU also .
I found a Socket with 1 wire near the exhust and suspect that is the O2 Sensor plug .

i can;t seem to add photo . will try and show some photo soon .

why are you revving to 8k on a d15 bottom end? with a leaking prop valve? this will not end well.

Upload the photo to imgur.com, and it'll give you a BBCode link. Just copy and paste that here. You're doing a few seriously dumb things. First off, you broke rule #1: Never buy another man's project. Second off, the P6X ECU, IIRC, is an OBD2 ECU. It isn't chipped, because it can't be. Third, you're breaking a very simple forum rule: You're expected to post all CEL codes, if it's on. Given that you can't even find an O2 sensor, I think it's a safe assumption that it's on. Fourth, you shouldn't feel VTEC. It isn't nitrous. It isn't a turbo. It's just a cam lobe change. If the car is set up correctly, you won't even know it happens.

I will take more photo and see if i can get more info .
i do not know what is CEL code, but my Panel inside the cars does not show any code, or weird flushing light,

Open door light - normal
Hand brake light . working - but flushes a few time when my brake oil is low
The battery light came up once 2 week ago when the Pulley fall off.

Seem like the O2 Sensor plug is 1 wire and under the blue pipe near the radiator .
is not plug in ( that why i am guessing i do not have a O2 sensor .

A local workshop told me that my ECU P6x-T51 is a Auto ECU so i am wondering what next .

since this is my First Honda i really do not know much about it .
Any direction to read more .

I'm sorry, your reply about your dash lights is a little confusing.

Do you see the CEL/MIL (yellow light) light up when you first turn the car on?

If it doesn't come on at all, either the bulb is burnt or been pulled from the gauge cluster.

Then your CEL/MIL bulb has been pulled to hide the fact the CEL/MIL is always on (probably for the no O2 sensor).

how can i check if the Bulb is pulled, but the strange thing is that just before i buy the car the last owner said he will need to replace a Old speedo meter so he got a new one for me .

I will try to check if possible .

The IACV was blocked with a pcs of sand paper when i got it and is not connected to the Water , took me a few days to get it connected and seem to be working fine .

currently .

1. car running and idle stable at about 810 RPM
2. When i on the air-con it drop like 100 RPM .
3. headlight do the same drop about 50-100 RPM
4. replaced a battery currently running a Bosch 52Ah.
5. Spark plug Reading - Average Good . look a little rich .
6. Fuel injection Flow ( have no check is the nozzle had been mod but look kinda standard to me . one workshop suggested 185 nozzle .

7. tire and rim size - 195/55/15 - what would be the Stock tire size
i am thinking if my tire is larger instead of 18-20 mpg it might be 20-22 instead.

8 . Exhust pipe is so noisy . thinking to slience it , current pipe

9 is there anyway i can reduce the Over rich fuel - I meant something i can do beside the ECU .
eg. FPR - fuel pressure regulator ? ( i wonder it help with Fuel flow . )

10 . when i Pull my IACV the Rmp will Jump between 1400-1500 RPM
i wonder if i am still having a leak or is it just back setup .

.

To check the bulb you pull the gauge cluster. It's 3 screws for the bezel (two above the speedo, one behind the hazards button) then you have 4 screws that hold the gauge cluster in place.

As for fuel/rich, restore/add the missing O2 sensor. Look under the car and see if there is an O2 sensor bung before the Catalytic converter. It's where it is at on some of the after market 4-2-1 exhaust headers.

It's also where I relocated mine on my 1.5L after I added the 4-2-1 header.

Found a pic:

See it by the axle area just before the catalytic converter.

i will have a chance to check the belly in a few days . going to install a sliencer to reduce the sound of the exhust .

update .
1. Checked Timing belt with the light gun yesterday and the workshop
Said is ok .

2. i improve the air flow a little . after seeing the Spark plug .

I was thinking What will be different if i add a Fuel pressures Regulator.

Hi toncat39
I believe i do not have a O2 Sensor .

I check at the local part dealer many tell me there got 4 wire and not the 1 wire one .

no CEL light yet .

assuming .

1. I get the O2 Sensor - 1 wire
2. will it work on my P6x-T51 ECU ( Which is Auto )
3. Since Currently I am running a low 18-20 MPG . will plugging in a O2 Sensor
even on a Wrong ECU improve it ?

4. O2 sensor is Not expensive is about - $40 i believe .
5. I know where to get the 4 Wire one . but the 1 Wire one i am still looking . )

6. Any chance this is the O2 Sensor plug ?

I would like to get the O2 Sensor up first like suggested .

kindly advice

Required (and unprovided, as far as I can tell) info: What chassis are you working with? The P6X ECU, as I've already said, I believe is OBD2, which theoretically narrows it down to 96-00, but that doesn't tell us the trim, country of origin, or other useful things like what wiring harness should be in the car vs what is in the car. Also, if the P6X ECU is what I think it is, it should be looking for a 4 wire O2 sensor, which a 1 wire O2 sensor won't work for, regardless of what wiring is in the car right now.

Year/Trim. Please fill in the gaps.

Years 1994 -
The Mini me is a
D16y8 -
over a
D15b block .
The ECU - P6x-T51 ( Auto )

Current car running
5 Gear Manual .

CEL light ( not showing )
Timming Belt ( not adjusted to retard 4 Degree )
Running
810 Rpm Idle
Air-con drop 100-150 Rpm
Head light drop Another 50 rpm .

Cannot find O2 sensor .

Option i had been suggested .

Reset ECU
Change Exhust Pipe
Install O2 sensor
Get Adjustable Cam

Currently
18-20MPP ( City )
28 MPG ( highway )

Besides providing the trim level to your 94 civic (and country of origin) your first order of business is get the CEL working.

Without CEL codes you could be doing stuff for no reason what so ever.

"adding air" and using an adjustable fpr to mask actual issues is as smart as winding that bottom end to 8k. you NEED TO FIND OUT WHY YOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. anything other than that is a complete waste of time. if you don't have an o2 sensor, it is on. 100% without a doubt. when you turn the key to "on", does the cel illuminate briefly, then turn off?

I do not know which Trim the Car is .
I will try to find out my trim and i agree that is importance to know which Trim in order to give the right suggestion

Thanks
NotARacist
now i know what is Trim .

Possible DX

Is a carburetor D15b with a D16y8 .Build over it
and have a rear wiper but no auto adjustable mirror
Everything seem standard ( interio ) without any special .

MY Engine CEL light is Not on.

local Workshop suggest i got P08 - Tune ECU with + a 1 Wire O2 Sensor .
