Metal on metal no good
Ok well as if everything else hasn't been a pain in the you know what with this swap. I put an Ls into my hatch. The motor is in and everything is hooked up except...the rear bracket (ordered and waiting) the intermediate shaft for the driver side(its in but not bolted down) and the exhaust(header to cat not hooked up yet).
My situation is this: the engine runs and turns on everytime. But whenever i turn the car off it makes a metal on metal noise. I wish i could be more descriptive here but i have no idea where its coming from. sounds like a rotor on backing plate noise but its not that. The noise only comes when the motor is turned off. If it matters i changed the timing belt, water pump before putting it in. it was also a auto to manual swap so the flywheel and clutch assembly are new. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know im not helping you guys out by not having pin pointed the area but im out of ideas. I really just wanna hook up the bracket, exhaust and axel then see what happens but i have to wait for that bracket first. again its def. a metal on metal sound only when its turned off.

Re: Metal on metal no good (92civichatch1)
So is it just a friction type noise, or like a screaching?
If it's just a friction 'ssshhh' type noise for a second, it's completely normal, and just the engine spinning down.
