MAP Sensor Problems!!
Ok ive been searching and cant find anything that matches my problem. So here it is I have a turbo GSR in a 93 civic. Ever since i have had it we have had a problem with the map sensor when I try to start is the sensor reads 10.1 with the stock map sensor well i took the one off the d series and it also reads 10.1 well i found another map sensor in my other civic. When using that one it reads like 7.4 or something like that. Well after that i changed my wiring harness with another gsr harness just and obd1 model still no change so then i grabbed the one off the d series still no change, WTH is going on???? Also the tps sensor is reading just fine. Im just blown away with this!! Also not sure it this helps or not but i have a Skunk2 throttle body. If you have anything that could help please let me know!

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
That's the thing it shows this on Hondata while I'm trying to start it. So from the start its giving me way to much fuel to try an compensate for what it thinks it has but doesn't really! And like I said above I've changed harness and sensors and nothing is working!

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
Well I have a tune that my buddy had in his ek that was the same set up except he had a c5 but his car ran fine I saw it running, but it's done this before no matter what I use the map sensor reads -29 until the first crank and then jumps straight to 7ish and I think if it wasn't for that the damn thing would start

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
You don't have tps and map sensors crossed do you? What injectors is the map setup for? Make sure that in hondata the map is setup for a stock map sensor and not some 3 or 4 bar aftermarket map sensor. Describe your motor setup and the setup the map was made for.

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
No they are not crossed cause my tps reads fine. Im running 1000cc injectors and the map has been changed to 1000cc. Under the map section its on stock sensor. And the set up is a 97 B18c1 turbo with 1000cc RC, 94 JDM head ALL stock interals, Skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body. I just dont under stand my next guess was going to be replace the throttle body, could that be the issue? Because the S2 on does have to relocate it to the bottom. So i was just going to swap it with the d series one just to see if it did anything. WHat do yall think?

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
Go get a real tune. What is your setup? Without this info no one can help you. What turbo? What PSI is it tuned to? Are you SURE the stock MAP is suffiecient? Reason why I ask is because you're running 1000cc injectors and that usually means higher boost PAST what a stock MAP can handle.
Get a real tune.

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
I would if I could get it started!! I won't even start because the map sensor reads 7psi while its cranking to start when it should be reading -20 something. That's my question what is causing it to do that. Like I've stated we changed map sensors wiring harnesses and even Hondata.

Re: MAP Sensor Problems!!
I checked a while ago it wasn't there but i hooked it all back up and didn't make a difference. But I did switch the connections just to check and my tps stopped workin and the map sensor read a negative but when you open the throttle it changed but when positive. Im boggled on almost wanna give up and take it to someone and have them fix it. Next step I guess is put the stock throttle body back on see if that does anything
