Default MAP problem under full boost

I have a 93 SI Hatch d16z6, with the greddy trust kit, 15g turbo.

As of yesterday, a CEL comes on for gears 2nd to 5th. i checked it and it says code 3, MAP.

I switched my map with a friends map off a 93 del sol d16z6, the problem is still the same.

when the light is on, it idles higher, louder, runs like crap. could this be a wire, sensor, or the piggy back?

P.S. the light on the piggy back used to fluctuate between orange and green at idle. and green at any throttle. now is steady green.

what should i do?

you live in jax man. Take advantage of that.

Personally, i've never boosted before but plan on it so you could say i've done my fair share of "research" so i know the very basics. I would say drop the piggyback bullshit and take it and get it tuned. Velocity trends seems to be a good place in your town to do this, or stage six.... Im in the process of trying to get vt to look at my ish now.

But it could very easily just be a pinched or torn wire in the harness running to the map, either way i suggest dropping the piggy back, and letting it get tuned professionally to get its full potential.

im a nissian guy, i picked up this hatch a month ago for a DD. I seriously dont think it will handle any more power. it has 190k and smokes at redline. besides the fact, i would rather learn to tune it myself... i am not wanting to put any unnecessary money into it. I have measured 36mpg on numerous occasions and it has been boosted for 3 years. i went to school with the guy who sold it to me.

i just want to fix it. and five it. not make it more powerful so it will blow, and it will. BTW my personal opinion on VT and S6 is not unless necessary. i know all the basic to a general automobile, and all the specifics on a vg30dett, i just need the specifics on the d16
