Manual window Handle removal
Ok, I've searched a number of times and I've been playing with the damn thing for 15 minutes. I'm sick and tired of not being able to get the thing off. What do you guys do?

a.
Use a really big prybar.
b.
Or stick a slide the edge of a rag down behind the crank, spin window crank and the clip will catch the rag and come out. Cheap and simple
c.
use the right tool.

Re: (ek forever guy)
what works is hold the rag edge between both hands and rub the rag inside the space between the crank and door panel like you are trying to saw the crank off with the rang this should pull the clip loose.
or push on the door panel so you can see the U shaped clip and pull the clip out with a needle nose pliers or a hooked pic tool.
watch out sometime the clips go flying

I definately found it, somehow it was on backwards.
It's beena while since I've taken door panels off. Since I had my last civic. I got it though, thanks everyone.

You can get the tool at Pep Boys for about 10 bucks, if not cheaper.
Found this on another site, but the tool I'm referring to is in the picture.

Re: Manual window Handle removal (ek forever guy)
just get a paperclip and bend the tip so its like a fishing hook. spin the handle until you can see the clip. pull the handle away for the door to give you more room. then, go fishing. have fun.
