Default manual conversion question.

i got my 97 ex w/ 92,000 miles. for 5000 and everything on this car is damn good. execpt for the wiring problem and my accedent i got into (bumper was torn off) but how hard would it be to do the manual conversion on it? its an automatic which really bites. should i do it myself or get it done at a shop. im going to throw a b16 or if i have the money a b18 when i get it done. sorry if my question is to plain. just want to know the estimate on price or hours ima throw in doing manual labor

If you are going to swap to a b series wait until then to do the auto to manual conversion stuff. The motor will be out of the car and you'll have more room to do the stuff you need to do. Plus you won't be buying d series parts that you will just be ripping out later on.

youll need to cut some of the floor out of the shifter out of the way, you'll need to drill out the spot welds on the mount and reweld it lower

k 20 swap looking better and better huh?

as far as chasis prep goes thats all thats required for the k20 lmao, and the b series is also 2500-4500 dollar swap, save a few more grand lol

keep in mind as of right this second we are ignoring, dropping the motor in and bolting the other mounts and some wiring, and the ecu for you ricers out there lmao

lol its better than a new guy to the scene paying some mechanic over 20 grand to drop in a k20 into an automatic 10 year old civic, the swaps and tuning is mostly for the do it yourself guys who are dedicated, most the succsseful guys in the scene are actually mechanics if you look at it, not trying to steer you away from he scene but yea

if you cant figure out a head swap you arent really suited for the scene no offense
