First off when i got to work this morning i left my lights on so my battery died of course... i figured the battery was toast so i went and bought a new one. put it in and nothing happened the car doesnt turn over, my dome light doesnt even go on, nor do my headlights, nothing turns on........the weird thing is that my hazards do go on......If anyone can help me i will REALLY, REALLY appreciate it. I had to leave my Hatch in a dark parking lot at work, and i just put my system in....I dont fell like some stupid thief jacking my system.....PLEASE HELP ME ANYONE. WHAT COULD IT BE?????

do you have it hooked up right??

If you put it on the right way it should be red on left black on right...

did you check the big battery fuse? check ur fuses and your grounds. the new battery come pre charged or not? should have had someone just give ya a jump. also check that your altenator isnt toast.

if my alternator is done.... the car would not turn over at all? and my lights would not go on? which grounds should i check?

I would check all of your fuses first.

What engine do you have? It might be your dizzy, I just had to replace one on my wifes car (EH2).

They go out sometimes just randomly!

but if its the distributor shouldnt it still crank, and how would that affect my headlights....

sounds like you have the polarity backwards.

it just might be your ground wires. maybe one of them came lose. For some reason hondas have a cow and sometimes wont start if one ground is bad.

Hi, I'm new in this forum, i had honda civic EG. I had something similar to your condition one day when i was fixing my CD player. After i had restore my ground cable, i coudn't start my engine, it won't make a sound either. But my hazard light and clock work normally. After a few checking, It was the ground wire, I forgot to bolt on the the battery ground cable propally.

My advise is to check your ground wire, clean the terminal and bolt it on the negative terminal. If everything goes well, it should works. Otherwise try jumpstart it or call for machanic.
