i have a eg with a b18c gsr motor. i just chipped my p28 ecu, and it didnt work, the car ran, but on a sohc ecu. well we tried to fix the problem in the chipped ecu, but the car wouldnt even run after that. so i put my p72 factory gsr ecu back in, and now i have no vtec, it just sounds like the motor cant even move in rpm at 6200. i also just took my vafc out, because no need of it w/ a chipped ecu, well at least i thought i was going to have a chipped ecu, but i dont as of right now, but anyway, what could be causing this, y do i have no vtec, did that improprerly chipped ecu mess my motor up?

i just swapped a c5 with chipped p28 and i dont have vtec either, the car just dies in the upper revs. is your tach working?

if you chipped the p28 then in order for the program to be read you need to jump the J1 slot... that will activate the circut to that part of the ecu. if you dont do that then the p28 will be running off the stock map even though you soldiered in the chip.

what chip are you trying to run?

Sounds like you have a wire not connected when you took out the VFAC.

If you want it working right, drop it off at my house this weekend and let me fix it and get everything straight and everything working.

actually the first time i chipped my ecu, it was wrong, and it burnt up my vtec oil pressure sensor, i reaplaced it, i fixed what i did wrong to the ecu, and everything is fine now, and my secondarys FINALLY work(knock on wood) . anyways, thanks for the help, and yes my tach does work.
