Default LX - EX Engine Difference's.

I was wondering if there is any difference's between the CANADIAN 1996-2000 Civic Lx and EX engines. I know the power options differences and i read on wikipedia that the LX has the dy7 and the ex has the dy8. I dunno if that applies for the US only. Is there any difference's between a dy7 valve cover and a dy8 valve cover? Is there anyway to spot if it is a dy8.

Scroll down to about halfway down on this page.

The Wikipedia page appears to be referring to US spec Civics, not Canadian.

Here's a list for both the US and Canada. I separated the chassis codes by body style too so that it's easier to see the comparisons.

Default Re: (NOFX)

Thanks. Thats what i thought. I got my answer yesterday anyways. Went to go look at a 2000 Ex Sedan and it had a D16Y7, so i knew then that the canadian Ex's didn't come with the vtec head.
