lsvtec ?s inut needed
ok,..i have a rebuilt ls block with rods,..with the b16 pistons in it,..i have b16 head w/port matched intake & p/p pr3 IM...im running a ls tranny with the itr lsd,so it hooks up,....& i can also take the gears weigh out there,..i have a crome tuned dual stage ecu set @ 5000...with the vtec @ 4500,...my rev limiter is 85,....now i know im goin to need a valvetrain upgrade what would be a good brand to install the zex stage 2 cams,..but what should i set the rev limiter too,...& how much power would be a good estimate from the wat its set right now,..& with the cams

go with blox springs and retainers and the type b cams. made 217 whp for me on my LS vtec. i'd ditch the LS tranny and go with a b16 tranny. and after all that you should go get it tuned. you willl gain the most power outta the tune

thats not exactly true
the b16 tranny has shorter gears, i believe that 1st gear may be the same however
anyways, it allows you to accelerate faster for all intensive purposes

what does rpm's have to do with each tranny? they both will handle any redline your engine will most likely see
as far as covering more speeds, thats a little misleading to say that
you will lose some top end (your top speed will be a little lower) but you will accelerate faster through the gears
its the same concept as regearing a rearend in a rwd car
ex. if you regear from a 3.73 rearend to a 4.10, your rpms will be higher at say 90 mph, however you will accelerate faster to that speed
but thats just explaining it simply, it has a lot to do with what the car will be used for and what rpms you will be using most of the time and so on
