lsv: just swapped intake mani. now white smoke from breather valve, and strange idle
my problem, and help is much much apperciated!
yesterday i replaced my b16 intake mani for another exactly the same(just wanted a newer one), i KNOW i connected all hoses accordingly, when i turn the car on it's fine it starts up at about 2,300 rpms about 5 minutes into idle the engine rpm's drop Suddenly to 700 not slowly but just drops you can hear the engine pretty normal. now about another 4 or 5 minutes into this event , white smokes starts to buzz around the breather valve off the valve cover, (has a filter) the more you throttle the more smoke spewls out.
keep in mind a little further reasearch:
1: i didn't know that i had to flush the coolant system, but will tomorrow. could it be air in the coolant?
2: the car's been sitting for awhile and oil was DRAINED, so i bougth fresh new oil and accedentally went a little over what was suppoused to be filled to. could it be from overfil of oil?
3: i also swapped valve cover, could that be where the smokes coming from?
4: not boosted DID not touch any of the other engine componets jsut intake mani.
pleaseeeee i beg for help !
thanks

Think you just got too much oil buddy...drain some out and refill to the proper level if needed and u should be fine!
