I want to by my friends ls/b16 tranny its for a decent price, however it has pretty high mileage compared to other swaps I could do. If the compression test comes out great, can I forget the high kilometres/miles??? What you guys think??

Even tho it is a Honda, that is ALOT of KM's. How much is he selling the car for and weigh that against how much it would be to buy the same type of car and swap an engine in with alot lower km's. Just my 0.02

Also if I do a vtec head, that new head would make up for have the engine components right, so that would in a sense lessen the amount of miles on here to worry about...just a though

No, the block and sleeves are still old and tired. I'd suggest buying it low then send it over to GE or some place like that and have it resleeved and rebuilt.

Re: LS swap with 200,000 kms?? (Happyman)
well its my daily driver and i am a student and in canada so sending it anywhere is not an option. For 500 dollars less i can get a ZC sohc with LSD and exedy clutch and headers with 60, 000 kilometres. Maybe i will do that and boost it later. This and the LS are my two main options because I have dealt with both sellers before, and they will be the ones doing the install.
Any more comments? thanx for the replies guys
