I dunno where all you guys are from...

But here in Texas, a b18a will go for $1k +

a b18b in nice condition can go as high as $2300 or so.

http://www.sohfast.com sells them for as high as $2,700.

You get what you pay for.

Good God Almighty Jesus Christ our Savior $2,700 is a lot. I bet that place sells Type R motors for like 6 grand.
But yea, you can find an LS motor in good condition with low mileage for fairly cheap.

I paid 500 bucks for my 95 ls longblock then I went out and got a gsr tranny for 500 dollars, with the rest of the other parts it came out to 1600 for everything, plus I paid some friends of mine to do it for 400. It was a pain in the butt trying to piece a motor together it was harder than I thought! Good luck trying to find one for a good price.

Got my '96 for $1600 including shipping. But there is always costs not accounted for. I needed a 94/94 P75 ecu, 90 bucks, and I needed new axles (the boots were ripped) so I got some remans ($140). Fluids and misc stuff. Anyway, 1600 for most everything.
