People have tried this to run a little richer. It has different timing, fuel curves, etc... try it. Can't hurt.

Um, you could... but why the heck would you want to do that? The motors are in no way similar. Keep the D15 computer.

The car will run fine. Maybe not the best gas mileage tho lol
I believe the rev limit is 7100 or 7200 somewhere around there

just don't take it that high with your stock valvetrain. The b7 redlines at 6800.

weird. In my old usdm cluster it bounced off the rev limiter at like 6800, and now in my jdm cluster it goes to 7000 sharp.

d15b7 redlines on a stock tach at 6800 rpms or so.

i never took mine past 6500 cause its pointless, not making any power any higher than that.

dont rev your stock d15 over 7k please, thanks

You're best off chipping it. It will (and is) running fine with the LS computer, but it's also running a lot richer and your mpg will drop considerably for no noticable gain in extra HP. The only reason you can rev harder is because your rev limiter is set higher with the LS motor - but it still doesn't mean your valve train can handle it. The redline's there for a reason, I'm not gonna lie and say my tach never sees all red but it's bad for the valve train, you can float a valve (or a few) like that. Just keep shifting at like 6.8k (redline on a D15b7 IS 7k, but you have to account for the fact that at that RPM, the shitty stock honda tach is 9 times out of 10 off a few hundred RPM's) and you should be okay - more wear on the motor, but okay as far as not immediately blowing it up.

IMO keep your stock D15b7 ECU.
