lowering my ride but got a question
kkk well i have 99 coupe ... i have 15" with 205/55/15s on them.. im planning to lower my car.. now i had tires that are 205/60/15 with out lowering if i have a passanger and make a tight turn my tires rub..thats y i swiched to 55s instead. now the question is with my new tires 205/55/15 it doesnt rub lets say i lower my car i know that the lowered springs are stiffer but are they stif enough that they dont rub or will it rub again!!? and to addd how much do u guys suggest lowering? i dont want her flat on the ground but enough to notice..i dont like how high shes riding oooooo and to adddd lets say i lower enough that my tires are tucked in ... when i turn my wheel wont my tired hit the top of my fender????? would i need to pull my fenders or something?

Re: lowering my ride but got a question
u can lower it quite abit without rubbing, my wheels are right at the fender and only rub when i turn the steering wheel all the way to one side. if u do rub figure where ur rubbing and take some pliers and on the inner fender theres a lil lip push it up as far as u can but make sure u dont bend the fender.

i would like coilovers for sure.... right now i dont rub no matter what but if i do lower it... about an insh... will i rub.... i wouldnt think so cuz the rate or the lowring spring is stiffer so even tho the car is lower it takes alot more wieght to bring it down that extra half insh for it to rub... i dono i guess i will need to try and c what happens.... and roll my fenders just in case

Did you read what i said? Stiff springs arent going to keep you from rubbing, bottoming out yes.
The only thing that will stop you from rubing is smaller tires or rasing the car.
I am on 650lb/10k springs and i still rub. I highly doubt any lowering spring will have rates near mine.
you may be able to go to the top of your tire without rubbing, i honestly dont know, im just guessing.
