Lowered car, shock sticks up a lot thru the top??? HELP
Heres the deal.
I lowered my car with some sprint springs on stock shocks. When I dropped the car off the jack I noticed the bar in the middle of the shock is sticking up a lot higher thru the hole in the engine bay. It now rattles around because the nut that goes on top is way high up and theres no more thread to tighten it down, i hope this makes sense. Anyone got any ideas??

You installed the shock wrong. Period. Take it (them) off and stare really hard at the instructions as you piece them back together.

they have a point...you may prolly want to take it out and check your install process. there might be some funky steps during install.

as a work around while honda had to order it... i did use washers at home depot
stacked three of them and put them in my suspension...
didnt break but i eventually replaced it with the oem part

somtimes that #13 washer will stick in side the dust cover. when you take it off look inside of the dust cover with a flashlight. It was there when you started it must be there somewhere!

you also should have kept at least a little bit of your bump stop on too( the orange spongy thingy). makes a lil diference on ride quality. i left half of mine still on there. i have a 2.5 inch drop on my EG coupe btw.
