Low RPM bog
My timing belt got shredded and we replaced the belt along with the power steering belt, and a/c /supercharger belt. (I am running a vortech) Because the timing belt was so bad we thought for sure it bent some valves. We did a compression test and everything seemed ok. Well to check the valves we had to remove the cams. We reinstalled the cams and realigned the timing as best as we could.
The car was also throwing code 9 CYE so we also replaced the dizzy. So after getting everything back together the car at was bogging at low rpms. If I gave it a little throttle (not above 2,000 rpms) when I let off the car would bog to under 500 rpms. So we took the car around the block and it ran like a champ as long as it was not at low rpms. As soon as I stopped at a red light and tapped the gas it would bog below 500 rpms.
We first thought it could be a vacuume line but we check all of them and they were all good. The car is being tuned through a vafc. Is there a chance that the VAFC reset itself from the battery terminal being disconnected over the week? Im stumped and need to get this thing running right tomorrow.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Low RPM bog
I tried to set the timing with the gun but I couldn't see the light. All the other pulleys and belts were in the way.

Re: Low RPM bog
when my ignition timing was retarded a little too much it bogged untill like 3 grand then was fine. its either a tooth off or ignition timing is too retarded.

Re: Low RPM bog
Did it bog all the time? It seems like it only does it when the car is warm. If I tap the gas at idle it will creep down to around 560rpms and almost die.
