low profile-Jack
Does anyone know about a low profile jack for cars that is mad low to the ground...? I need to know the price for one. This guy I kinda know is selling his for $100 bonez. Its new it was used three times no scratches its aluminum with one spring and a cyclinder and it can hold up to 2tons. Is it worth it, does it seem real need help........PLEASE!

At the shop I work at we use an airbag one for lowered cars its half an inch thick hook up the air and it goes up 2 feet, I wouldent trust it for **** tho under it, but for lifting the car its good.

if it's the craftsman then the price is about right, if it's no name then the price is high.
check harbor freight tools. (harborfreight.com) a 3ton is $85 +S&H. so figure ~100.
the craftsman version is 120
(they have dropped in price since they came out)

i had a pepboys jack and a craftsman jack. i like the pepboys a lot better. the handle is bigger and it was easier to jack up. it was bigger and lighter too.
the craftsman is just for the name and looks.

Just for everyones FYI, those low pro jacks usually have a bigger piston, so in 4 pumps, the cars tires should be off the ground. Standard jacks would probably take 8-10 pumps to get it to the same height. I think this accounts for the low pro jack's price as well

blue one from harbor freight is nice, i work for sears and i kinda "borrowed" one of the craftsman ones for lowered civic that was slammed on the ground and it worked GREAT. got myself in a lot of trouble for "borrowing" a 150dollar jack but who cares anyway?

Are the low profile ones good for people with body kits (me! me!)
Its a bitch jacking up a car with sideskirts because the bar of the jack hits the side skirt before the platform hits the bottom of the car.

buy the low profile pro jack from Costco... It's like 80 bucks, pumps up quick with two big pistons, and starts out really low to the ground.My civic has been lowered over 4 inches with coilovers and I still had plenty of room to scoot under it.
Plus buying it at costco (as long as you keep your reciept) means you can always take it back if there's a problem - always.

i've done that so many times and after i lift it i put my spare
(steelie 14") under and lift up the other side

That's what I used to do at the track w/ my friend's car. Only I didn't lift the fender, it was the frame by the window.
