how many gallons do you fill it up with? The CX tanks are alot smaller then the GSR tanks.

going with a chipped p28 will make your gas mileage situation worse. do a tune up first. BTW whats the mileage of the motor?

Also change your oil, I have noticed my cars gas mileage starts to suffer when my oil is low/old so replace your oil,get a good ole' oil change.

I get 25-30 mpg on my supercharged B18C1. You might want to do the things you talked about, but what about doing some troubleshooting first?

Dude, you must have a leak somewhere.

My 93 CX with a B18C1 gets about 250 miles per tank on the highway.

And the CX tank is small, about 9 gallons total.

Time to check for a leak in the lines somewhere...

Yeah, my guess would be a leak somewhere. Possibly leaking injector or line, because that is plain crappy gas mileage for a full tank.

I used to get about 205 miles on full tank in my cx b18c1, that was when I ran a skunk2 chipped p28. Now I get about 260 city miles using an obdI p72 ecu and about 300 highway miles. Definitely do some troubleshooting.

a guy down at the local starbucks with a turbo gsr had a problem with this...and every time he start his car, if the hood was up, you could hear a hissing...we looked at it and figured it was his fuel pump....either his was not on right, loosened, or just damaged....so check around the fuel pump just to rule it out quick, cause it will be a bitch to have to deal with later.

Do as mentioned. Also, you said valve adjustment. I think you mean replace the VALVE cover gasket, not headgasket.
Also, how are your driving habits? If your constantly mashing the pedal/VTEC you're gonna use a lot more gas. Just asking because sometimes we don't think about that ****..

Yeah if you're constantly gunning it and are in VTEC that may eat some gas too

I like how no one even asked if you have a Check Engine Light on? If so, what are the codes? I'm guessing the second O2 isn't hooked up correctly (if OBDII swap).

Good luck......

Trey..

I have an OBD-II motor in an OBD-I one car. Will I still need to worry about the 2nd O2 sensor, the only 02 i see is the one where the cat is..

thanks

Uh, how often are you running in vtec. Have you ever noticed, lets saw auto-x, mostly in high rpm's a lot, you can actually watch when your in vtec, you gas gauge goes down.

uh Im guessing thats because you are throwing the car into turns and the fuel is moving around your gas tank

You only need one o2 sensor in an obd1 car, regardless of what motor you shove in there.

Does your car smell like fuel or smoke while you're driving / pushing your car?
If so, it could be a valve stem seal problem. Check your plugs too (once a week for 3 weeks) to make sure they aren't charred and fouled up by fuel.

I hit vtec often on my car (EJ1 with b18c1) and I get about 250miles per tank.
