Default A lot of freeplay while in neutral

ok so in my car while im driving my car in neutral there is a lot of free play but in the other gears its fine it doesnt move around or anything. but when i try to put it in 5th i have to throw it all the way to the right and if i dont get it it will go into third its the same as reverse its a single v with the tranny from a dx ek coupe

let me know what this could be as soon as possible thank you

check to see if the the bushings on the bottom of your shift linkage are good. make sure the "bitch pin" is not falling out.

...I'm confused. Neutral has a lot of play because it has a possible 6 ways to move And to get to 5th or rev, you need it all the way to the right...

look into this.. I dunno if it will solve your problem, but it sounds like the bushing might be worn out. double check it, but even if its not this is the best thing you could ever put on your linkage, its like night and day.
