Loss of Power on my B16A. What can it be?
alright fellas, so here's my dilemma..
i drove to work perfectly yesterday but as i was leaving i noticed the motor wasnt accelarating as usual and it still had a 1/4 tank of premium gas which is all i use.i know the car is running rich since my bumper gets smoked up quick. ive been reading around and there are so many things that can cause this drastic power loss but i need some more feedback before i start buying parts.
ive had the car for about 2 months and i was informed it was on nitrous. however, its ran good till yesterday. The car only smokes in vtec but thats normal since it burns oil.. where should i start? spark plugs, oil change, a full tune up maybe? its a B16A w/ I/H/E Chipped P72 ECU.
I ALSO CHECKED THE TIMING BELT AND ITS PRETTY STIFF SO I DOUBT IT JUMPED A TOOTH

Is the mechanical timing and ignition timing dead on?
Any CEL codes?
Did you inspect the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor?
Have you compression tested the cylinders?

Sooooo...... I pulled the dipstick out earlier to check the oil and it seems to have way too much. ****ing jiffy lube ftl. Apparently they added 5quarts instead of 4.5....
I'm goin back tommorow to complain and have the oil drained and redone. Hopefully this didn't damage anythin else ....I also picked up new NGK spark plugs since Im sure they need to be replaced. I got a long day tommorow but hopefully I get the car running smooth like before

seafoam is pretty magical stuff, although you prob want to do it away from other people as it smokes like a mother f-er
