Check the upper mount. I would guess that a loose washer would sound like that.

I'm just replying because i will be intalling those same coil-overs on my car tomarrow after work, I just got them yesterday, and I have to say they lok sweet! I have never seen so many stickers in one box! I love the second line in the instructions .

"This product is designed for OFF ROAD USE ONLY.
Kinda weird seeing as how the name of the kit is the Super street kit..

90% of the things you upgrade are "for offroad use only" so dont take it that seriously on most products.

but on a race suspension, or race brakes, yes. they are serious.

and i would check the washers

Do You have solid pillow uppers by any chance? Those make a rattling noise.

If all else fails take you car for a ride and have a friend sit in the back to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

hmmm, only thing that would rattle on teins is the lil washer that goes between the coil spring and the perch?? know what I mean?? also check if the spring is seated into the strut mount?? other than that I dunno, could be loose change under the seat???

What you are hearing is all you got left since the coilovers cost so damn much.

haha...probably. im gonna check it all out before i start rippin on them done the roads. i hope its all good cuz that was a big investment for me. i know that when the coilovers were put together the dude instead of putting these two washers together like the manual said he put one inside the boot cover and one on the outside. he said that its better that way that two washers on top of each other is no good. other than that i cant think of of what could be makin the sound??

Is it just me or are those tools for ajusting the coil height about the most worthless POS ever designed, I wonder why its not like a big open ended wrench, or does that not make sense to an engineer?

You can order them with or with out the upper pillow mount, just most tunner shops order them without the upper pillow mount to keep the price down, if you went to 2 shops and one said yeah we can get you Tein SS's for $900(not saying without upper pillow mounts) then you went to another shop and they said "yes we can get you some Tein SS's for $1100"(without saying, with upper pillow mounts) you'd go running back to the first shop and buy from them.... Remeber the people selling these things are trying to get you to buy from them .
