Default looking for quiet exhaust

I'm looking for a new muffler to put on my exhaust because the one thats on there is too loud. The only problem is that i have 2.5 inch piping and I want to find a muffler that is as quiet as possible and nothing big enough that requires a silencer. If its inexpensive that would be a bonus too

i'd like to go stock but I still wanna keep the piping too. Is there any factory mufflers that would fit the 2.5 inch?

im looking for the same thing. the biggest i found was I.D stock si muffler sittign at 1 7/8.

CTR is a little bit bigger and has a twin loop design. 600 easilly thoguh and youtube still makes the car sound liek it has an exhaust.

i have turbo and i just wnat to hear the turbo sounds and nothign else. all my oher turbo cars sounded like jets with just a whoosh (rush of air) out the exhaust.

youtubing ws2 sounds loud as hell as well.

magnaflow exhaust (straight through design) is also a littel on the bass side. the also rattle at 3k rpms and if you put on another resonator it will rattle at 4k rpms. those you can buy at your local muffler shop.

so basically i am on the same boat as you..

i wnat to be able to start up my car at midnight and have very few people notice.

i wnat to be able to drive through walmart parking lot and not have everyone stare from 100 feet away.

i wnat to be able to actually cruise with the cop right next to me instead of driving like a grandma.

i wnat to be able to hear the sound of my radio on long cruises on low volume.

i wnat my passengers to not have to lean on my freakin seat trying to hear the conversation.

the ws2 is nice for the price. i would also go with the tanabe touring or i was reallly looking into a mugen twin loop exhaust. there's so many i also would go with the greddy sp2. just do some research. make sure its brand name. these are my favorite quiet exhausts.

Apexi WS2 is good. Nice and quiet, but when you mash the gas you can hear the engine. Or the eBay twin loops are supposed to sound good, but haven't had one.

I saw one guy had like 4 or 5 long glass packs and it was supposedly quiet.

I say twin loop design, they flow well and are not loud.

ive got a copy of a Greddy SP2. Its not really that loud. And it is very deep, but then again i have a built motor so idk how it would sound on a stock motor. Before i had it it was on a J30 Accord and it sounded sick. As far as driving near cops i dotn give a ****. Down here they cant do ****. You hear the exhaust in the car but its not that loud.
If you want something quiet go with a WS2. My friend has one on his LS and its quiet as hell. He comes to my house and I cant even hear it unless he guns it. DO NOT GET A MAGNAFLOW, they are LOUD AS **** and SOUND LIKE ****.

ES Tune Oval and Magnaflows are loud after a while.

If you want quiet, go with RSR Street mufflers or Apex'i WSII.
Someone mentioned the Borla oval, have any sound clips of them?

Personally I am running the RS*R Catback system (street) w/ a magnaflow muffler and it is so so loud and drones inside the cabin.

I've had an 08 SI muffler welded on before... It had just a bit less flow than the Mugen twinloop
