looking to buy ek got got a few questions
got a 97 b20b4 that will go in it but i want a cai will the 99-00 si work (any one with b18b swaps or b20 swaps know the answer)
any body know how hard it is to swap power windows and mirrors in from another car (ex/si) and do all 2door/hatch door parts enterchange to do this swap, well despite the like 10 wires ill have to run for the new accesories.
as far as the guadge cluster goes will all 96-00 clusters fit with little to no wiring changes heard that the 99-00 tack reads through the ecm or something to that effect
the car i will get will probbly be a 96 or 97 cx or dx what are the major diffrences betwene the two, i think that the cx has no hatch cover if this is true will the one from a dx swap over easly
any insite in to this would be great i have a 89 ef hatch and i was going to drop this moter in it but want a newer car and like the ek hatch and the moter and all that i have will go in it easer and cheaper than in the ef (no mount kit or shift linkage needed)

Re: looking to buy ek got got a few questions (ef ect)
a cold air intake for a si doesnt fit. i had one in my cx with a b16 and it needs to go in that hole which it didnt have and i didnt feel like being bothered with cutting the hole out.

as far as guage clusters, yes all 96-00 cluster will work, plug and play. i have a 00 si cluster in my hatch, took 5 mins to unscrew everything and a second to plug it in. it's all prewired for a tach already.
some of the differences between the cx and dx are: the cx doesn't have a painted roof spoiler, no rear winshield wiper, and i'm not sure about the hatch cover, sounds kinda ghetto is if didn't come with one. if it didn't you'll need the 6 latches that the hatch cover snaps in to.
oh btw, i have a 97 dx hatch

Re: looking to buy ek got got a few questions (cre18)
i have a 97 hatch too
IMO power windows would add a lot of weight and wouldnt be that much of a luxury. Its kinda fun doing things the ghetto way (i dont have ps, no power door locks, manual windows and no a/c). The power door locks can be put in with an alram so when you arm/disarm it will lock/unlock you doors. Im at work right now, but i have a link at home with all the differneces between dx and cx. Ill message you when i get home. Good luck!

Well looks like cluster will be easy to find got freinds at a import recycle center. and as far as the power windows go i think the b20's touque will more than make up for that, and anyway cranking them down sucks and since i can get a good deal on the parts why not. but i got another thing i would like to know if any one has switched the 99-00 heater controle/radio holder into a 96-98. yall probly think im a freak but i install car steros for a living and am very picky on interior.

any 96 up cluster will work. the hatch cover from a dx will work. cx has no rear wiper, black wing, and no sound deadining under the carpet.

The cx does have sound deadening material. Also, if you want to make the 99-00 heater controls work, you will need to switch to a 99-00 civic interior harness, and while you are at that, might as well switch the engine harness as well, since they are integrated into each other.
