Lock Control Unit?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could clue me in on which parts list I could find the Control Unit for the locks (the one in the door) and which number it is in the picture? It is for a '97 Civic EX 4dr. Thank you.
Edit: Thought I'd edit my original post incase anyone else is searching for the same problem. I tested the continuity from the control unit to the ground (G551 - Left Kick Panel) and found that it didn't have continuity, so there's a wire broken somewhere because the ground is secure. So I ran a new ground to one of the bolts on the door and spliced it into the existing ground. I originally cut the ground wire and just routed a new one, but it still didn't work. I had to have the original ground still connected and have my new homemade ground spliced into the original ground.
Also, incase anyone does need to know where to get a new Power Lock Control Unit, it's under Combination Switch.

Re: Lock Control Unit? (Hemix)
Bump...
None of the power locks are working. I checked all of the fuses and all of the harness connections and they are fine. So what is the likeliness that it is the control unit has gone bad? I can't imagine it's a problem with the actuators or switches since it is all of the doors. I would think that Honda would wire the locks in parallel and not in series, so they should work independently of each other.

Yeah, it's probably the control unit, but double check that fuse 51 in the under-hood fuse box isn't blown. Another possibility is a bad ground (G551) -- in this case, however, the driver power window motor and main switch also would not work.
If necessary, maybe you could get a cheap control unit from a salvage yard?

Re: Lock Control Unit? (RonJ@HT)
Thank you Ron. I'm pretty sure that I checked the 51 fuse, it's not labelled with a number but it's under the hood and labelled as Locks (10 amp I think). I also checked the one in the cabin under the dash, am I missing one?

Re: Lock Control Unit? (Hemix)
I think fuse 51 in the under-hood fuse box is the only fuse that protects all the locks. The keyless entry circuit is protected by a couple of fuses in the under-dash fuse box, but I don't think your problem is specific to keyless entry.
