Default Little hybrid question for my 94 hatch

I have a 94 cx hatch , has a 98 engine d16y7 with the ex tranny and it has a p05 ecu which is for the cx , meaning like 70 hp but this thing pulls pretty nice , but at low rpm this thing is hard to pullout and stuff if im on a hill or just babying the gears it'll bog real bad at low rpm's , i tried to mess with the timing a little but i think its the ecu ,but if i open it up it runs pretty good though , it'll grab second a little but i have to be pushing it, the kid i bought the car from said it had the dx computer in it but i could see plain as day its just a p05 cx ecu , if i slapped in a p06 ecu would it pick up the hp to around 102? Also the kid added all the vtec stuff like the wires and they are in the engine bay , he said i just needed to add the head and p28 ecu , im not real familar with the whole obd1 and hybrid stuff , are these ecu's all pinned the same? Thanks guys any help greatly appreciated.
