List of repairs/maintenance I have done to my stock 92 civic w/ 93k original, want recommendations.
Edit: Just had my timing belt changed 2 weeks ago or so, and my car overheated today again in idle as I thought changing the waterpump would fix the problem. I JUST drove my car to go camping with at least 800-900 LBS of people in the car, AND camping equipment filling my entire trunk(like 100lbs) for over 250 MILES and it didnt overheat once, nor come close and we had to floor that bitch over hills sometimes. With knowing that I have changed the below things on my car, and a compression test of 180, 160, 160 and 180, WTF is making my car overheat in idle, but not while driving?? Radiator fan turns on, but maybe the radiator is bad, maybe the fan is kicking on too late??? Thermoswitch???
Guys,
Bought the car with 83k original, this is what I have doneCurrently has 93k)
-Timing Belt
-Waterpump(with gaskets)
-AC belt
-Alternator belt
-Fuel Filter
-Air filter
-Spark Plugs
-Spark plug wires
-Distributor Cap & Rotor
-Ignitor
-Radiator cap
-Thermostat
-Transmission Flush
-Coolant Flush
-VSS Sensor
Thats really all I think of. I have new brake pads sitting around for when my brakes get bad...I also need to change my valve cover gasket, along with the grommets I guess because I didnt have that done during the timing belt job.
Can you guys think of anything else that you would recommend changing? I couldnt think of anything. I pretty much did all the work myself except for the timing belt job.
I appreciate your responses. Thanks,
Kris

Check all suspention parts balljoints, tie rods inner and outter for play check all rubber bushings esp at the control arm pick up points and rear trailing arm bushinngs. the car might only have 85k on it but it is over 15 years old.

I do oil changes every 3k miles. 4k at latest.
Good input guys, I knew their was more stuff I could do. I think I am going to tackle the fuel pump, engine mounts.
What do you mean valve adjustment? what is that?
I have heard of seafoam, but I have heard that is not always good for your car.
I will worry about the suspension a little later when I get more time. Appreciate it though.

Your going to want to start replacing all your rubber bushings. Rubber only lasts about 6 years before it starts to degrade. its a good rule to replace suspension bushings every 60k due to age and abuse to maintain the like new ride.
Your gonna need a clutch soon. I suggest a custom kevlar clutch. Do some research on kevlar as a clutch material, and you'll find out that it lasts longer and wears less on the flywheel. I've had my kevlar clutch for 50k miles. While i was swapping my motor i looked at my clutch and it still looked new.

Re: (Hanmin)
I dont think it can be the thermo, because I bought it brand new from honda when the car was at about 87k, I just ordered a new aluminum radiator + a fan that has curved propellers....
