Liquid out of Rack and Pinion boot, help!
After noticing that one of the Rack and Pinion boots torn, I decided to replace both boots. I finally took the rack out tonight and removed both boots. When I removed the boot that wasn't torn, alot of liquid came out of the rack from where the inner rod connects. This was from the driver's side of the rack. The liquid is not power steering fluid, it's much more like water in density, but does have a yellowish color tone.
Has anyone else had this issue? Should I just replace the rack or should I continue to just replace the boots and reinstall it?
thanks.

I took a look at the fluid again and it seems to be just water. Could it have been just condensation within the rack? It looks like about 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of water came out of the driver's side end of the rack.
